Marshalltown High School is preparing for its 2026 Homecoming festivities, which begin next week. The school is proud to introduce this year’s Homecoming Court and announce a week of events celebrating Bobcat pride, school spirit and community.

“We’re excited to celebrate this year’s Homecoming Court and all that they bring to Marshalltown High School,” said MHS Principal Justin Boliver. “Homecoming is a great opportunity to celebrate our students, build school spirit and bring our school and community together. We’re looking forward to a fun week of traditions and events for our students, families and community.”

2026 King Candidates:

Andres Ordaz, Rey Meraz, Angel Ramirez, Jamison Niehouse, Angel Gomez, Innocent Ishangulungu, and Zane Moore.

2026 Queen Candidates:

Fatima Diaz, Frankie Long, Sherlyn Gutierrez, Bella Avise, Aya Karroum, Rory Piscitelli, and Kate Sandvick.

Homecoming festivities will begin Sunday, Sept. 13, with the Powderpuff Game at 5:30 p.m. at Leonard Cole Field, followed by the Powderbuff Game in the Roundhouse at 6:30 p.m

The Homecoming Parade will take place Thursday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. The parade will begin at West Main Street and 9th Street and end at Center Street and Main Street.

Following the parade, the Homecoming Coronation will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Leonard Cole Field. In the event of inclement weather, the coronation will be moved indoors to the Roundhouse.

The week’s celebrations will continue Friday, Sept. 18, when the Bobcats take on Des Moines East in the Homecoming football game at Leonard Cole Field. Varsity kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Homecoming festivities will conclude with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 7 to 10 p.m. in the MHS Auxiliary Gym.
